Yes—I, too, am a tourist. (I’ve been traveling for the last three years.)

Yes, I do touristy things and go to tourist attractions.

No, I’m not trying to “look down” on all tourists: At the end of the day, we’re all spending our hard-earned money to visit places we've dreamt of.

But we can all agree that when you act like a jackass—or show zero common sense—in a foreign country, you make things harder for yourself and everyone else.

And that’s what I’ll help you avoid.

In this article, I’ll show you a few comically simple things that tourists need to do—or not do—to be nicer travelers and make things go smoother while you’re on the road.
