Hey John, thanks for your comment and observations! Yep, good and bad alike. Haha that was the best advice I got from Dutch people: Don't just go to Amsterdam. ;)

As for your points:

1. I'm genuinely shocked ppl wore offensive shirts. Who on earth wore a Nazi shirt?! Are you sure they were american? As for wearing a union jack in Ireland, I think a lot of ppl are unaware of those connotations. For example, only after I went to England, I learned that waving an English flag when there's no sporting event can be a strong political statement.

2. I can see that. 😂 btw, "sir" is just a greeting, like "monsieur" in France or "signore" in Italian. I'm actually surprised they addressed you as "sir" because those type of manners are fading away. Was this recently?

3. True. I don't know why people would go get chain coffee in Europe or coffee in takeaway cups (unless you're in Greece).
