thanks for your comment! Yeah, that is a good distinction between a physical therapist, who usually has a degree or some training, versus a personal trainer who only needs to pass a written exam and get insurance (at least in the United States).

But, after spending a lot of time in the industry, I can also say that a lot of physical therapists don't really know much either and tend to stick to very outdated models of rehabilitation.

An easy example is, oh your back hurts? Just strengthen your back, strengthen your core, do a bunch of back strengthening exercises (and maybe some hamstring stretches), and some ultrasound/laser therapy and you're on your way.

There are so many things that are incorrect with that, but I don't think most would know.
