Thanks, Tim! There were many factors, but most of it was related to the industry itself. As you saw in this article, it's an industry that rewards a lot of stupidity. I felt like so much of my job was trying to undo the damage that other "fitness influencers" preach and I just got tired of it.
The analogy I found is like going to get your car fixed. Imagine they tell you that something's wrong with the transmission and you say, "no it's not." And they're like, uh, yes, we checked and you can see for yourself. And you say, "no, my transmission is fine. My friend has the same car and their transmission is fine."
It's almost ludicrous. But at the same time, this is what so people do every f*cking day in fitness.
